RIQAS is the largest global EQA scheme. It is used by over 16,000 laboratories worldwide, participating in a variety of programmes. RIQAS is accredited to a number of internationally recognised standards.

1. Samples are custom-manufactured to be both stable and similar to human samples. 
2. Participants receive all samples at the start of the cycle (apart from Haematology).
3. Each cycle covers the clinically relevant concentration ranges.
4. Samples are analysed on the recommended date or at any point during each reporting period. 
5. RIQAS e-transfer allows fast data transfer at no extra cost, with a choice of paper free   reporting.  Reports are sent within one to three days of the final submission date for results.   Printed results are sent within five days.
6. The RIQAS web system, RIQASNet, offers easy direct access for the submission of results and retrieval of reports straight from the RIQAShost server. Reports are emailed in pdf format as soon as they are prepared.
