Cytokines are signalling compounds which communicate with one another via cell-surface receptors. Due to their central role in the immune system, cytokines are involved in a variety of immunological, inflammatory, and infectious diseases.

In recent years, the cytokine receptors have been the focus of researchers more so than cytokines themselves, because a deficiency of cytokine receptors has now been directly linked to certain debilitating immunodeficiency states.

Cytokines and their receptors have been linked to many disease states including inflammation, autoimmune diseases, allergies, vascular diseases and cancer.

All analytes on each Randox cytokine array can be measured simultaneously with one small sample using Biochip Array Technology. The Evidence analyser can run 756 cytokine tests per hour, the Evidence Investigator can achieve 540 tests in under three hours.
