Thrombin Time Thrombin is a serine protease that converts soluble fibrinogen into insoluble fibrin strands, as well as catalyzing many other coagulation-related reactions. The Randox Thrombin Time Assay (TT) is a core clinical test used to screen for abnormalities in the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin or in suspected cases of fibrinogen deficiency. The addition of thrombin to a plasma specimen in vitro normally causes the formation of a clot. The Randox Thrombin Time Assay measures the time taken for a predetermined quantity of Thrombin in the reagent to convert the Fibrinogen in the plasma into a fibrin clot. Why choose Randox Thrombin Time? Randox Thrombin Time assay means superior performance, enhanced stability and flexibility for your laboratory. Superior Performance Randox TT test provides uniform and consistent results that your laboratory can depend on. The assay is highly sensitive and does not show any interference with heparin up to a level of 1.0 U/ml. Enhanced Stability Randox offers superior stability when compared to competitor products. Using Randox TT reagent allows laboratory technicians to save unused materials for a later date and minimise wastage. To minimize lot change frequency, we also offer extended product dating and lot number sequestering options. Flexibility Package sizes to suit the needs of large and small coagulation labs.
