The Role/An Ról:

The successful candidates will play a key role in a fast developing engineering design team and be involved in the research and development of advanced diagnostic and analytical equipment.
The role will include the progression of mechanical designs of diagnostic/analytical equipment from concept to production using Solidworks 3D CAD including concept generation, specification, design, parts detailing, prototyping, costings, bill of materials, design documentation - to worldwide quality standards.
The role will therefore require excellent engineering design skills, with the candidate able to work effectively on their own, with other mechanical engineers and also as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists.  

The Candidate/ An t-iarrthóir:

The successful candidate must possess:

• Educated to honours degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate experience in a design environment with 3-D solid modelling CAD systems.
• Ideally possess design and development skills covering any of the following areas: Automation mechanisms, robotics, prototype manufacture and assembly, ergonomic and aesthetic design.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and to integrate into a multi-disciplinary team.
•  Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
