Increased Flexibility with qPCR Assays

The STI qPCR Assay is a highly advanced diagnostic tool developed to address the challenges of detecting STI pathogens. STIs have a profound impact on sexual and reproductive health worldwide, with The World Health Organization (WHO) stating more than 1 million curable STIs are acquired every day. An estimated 374 million new infections of chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis and trichomoniasis are detected annually, highlighting the importance of rapid detection and treatment of STIs to prevent further spread.

The STI qPCR assays are available as four separate kits, offering increased flexibility, facilitating the sensitive detection of 9 pathogens. Each STI-fleX assay uses the same PCR cycling conditions allowing for multiple assays to be run on the same instrument simultaneously. With only 2 components required for the mastermix, the STI qPCR assays offer the ultimate in efficiency, helping to streamline the laboratory workflow.
