The investment from Randox will supply kit and equipment for 70 sports clubs across the university’s four campuses, including individual and team sports such as basketball, GAA, hockey, football, athletics and more. Another new addition in 2021, the Randox VeraSTAT-V has been designed to detect the earliest signs of inflammation in veterinary diagnosis. The Randox CE marked Sars-CoV-2 neutralising assays measures neutralising antibodies to Wild Type (Wuhan), Delta & Omicron variants following vaccination or natural infection. Wild Type Surrogate Virus Neutralisation Assay and Delta SARS-CoV-2 Surrogate Virus Neutralisation Assay detect antibodies that block interaction of the spike protein receptor-binding domain (RBD) and angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2).
