The Art of Detection

Multiplex testing reduces the amount of time spent on individual tests and associated laboratory costs.

Randox’s vast Biochip test menu allows clinicians to detect routine and novel markers for advanced diagnostic analysis.

Multiple sample types can be used on one analyser including serum, plasma, whole blood, urine, oral fluid and alternative matrices.

Testing for multiple markers simultaneously increases the amount of patient information allowing for more informed patient diagnosis.

Biochip technology has a proven high standard of accurate test results with CV’s <10%.

Bar-coded biochips and patient samples ensure complete traceability of results.

Biochip Technology from Randox is an innovative assay technology which utilises multiplex testing methodology in a rapid, accurate and easy-to-use format, catering both molecular and immunoassay testing. The technology works by combining a panel of related assays in a single biochip with a single set of reagents, controls and calibrators. Only one single undivided sample is used. The results are read by a CCD-camera and custom image-processing software. Each biochip has 25 Discrete Test Regions (DTRs) and each DTR holds an individual analyte for testing. This means that 23 tests can be carried out with two reserved for internal quality control, another unique Biochip Technology feature.

Users of biochip can have the utmost confidence in its proven transformational platform analysis, reagents and procedures. The surface chemistry between the biochip and the analysis platforms allow a range of multiple matrices to be used: whole blood, serum, saliva, urine and tissue biopsy.*

Biochip arrays are suitable for use in a wide range of settings including universities, contract organisations, private/public sector, environmental laboratories, pharma and drug development: pre-clinical and clinical studies, forensic and drugs of abuse testing, veterinary and molecular testing.
